Tonight's tiger progress

We spent part of the afternoon and most of the late evening playing the tiger number guessing game. Our score is now 850. We'll try to get it to 1000 some other day but probably not tomorrow as we're be celebrating the New Year in the barracks.

A tiny tiger appears

Today, a wanderer and his tiny tiger appeared in channel 1 of Port Coimbra. The wanderer accepts up to 30 red ores per hour to participate in the number guessing game. Pure minerals are accepted too with no limit. As we collected a whole bunch of red ores this afternoon, we manage to use a portion of it tonight to play the guessing game. The worthwhile prizes we won are White Tiger Fur and Sharp Black Claws. They're consumables but we have yet to use them to see what they do. As of right now, we have 104 points in the game.

From the Christmas guy, we also received a Santa Hat and another Rudolph Hat. We were hoping for another Veteran Experience card though but hat aren't bad either.

He lies!

This guy is such a liar. Instead of giving what he said he would give us, we got 6 level 90 experience cards and 1 Rudolph Hat instead. Still, we are more than halfway done with our third set of Snow Drops and shall try again tomorrow.

Rion & Snow Drops

This afternoon, we were in a squad in Shinx fighting the creatures in Rion dungeon, first floor. Our particular mission was to level Jack with a secondary goal of collecting Snow Drops. Those forum entries praising Rion dungeon as a good place to collect Snow Drops turned out to be true as we are now near completing our second set of 50.

Finally did the Christmas Event

Tonight, we managed to collect the rest of the required 50 Snow Drops. We found that Gigante Beach was a pretty easy place to collect them as they seemed to drop quite often there. Our first try at repeating the lyrics was a total failure as some really long phase/paragraph appeared and we only had 10 seconds to repeat it. Even at our fastest, we were only able to repeat less than a quarter of it. The lyrics for the second attempt was more manageable as it was just 1 long sentence rather than a paragraph. We managed to repeat it just in time and received the following awards: 6 Level 90 Experience Cards (560,000 points), 1 Veteran Experience Card (14 million points), a Snowman, a Christmas Tree, a Christmas Stocking, and a Christmas Firecracker.
The description for the Snowman doesn't seem to indicate what it does.
The tree is pretty cryptic too.

Lucky find in the market

While performing the weekly spot check of the market prices tonight, we managed to purchase 220 Mission Lobby Highway 2 and 107 Mission Lobby Interchange 1 all from a seller named bluedruid at a bargain price of the low thousands for each one. Assuming that each one takes us 10 minutes to complete, these mission lobbies should keep us occupied for many nights to come.

Day's activities

Still interested in trying the event at least once (even though it had lots of bad reviews), we pressed on to collect the Snow Drops. By the end of the night, we managed to have a total of 25. Perhaps trying another map such as Rion Hollows might be faster but we're not in any particular hurry as we now know the date of when it ends.

Something funny and unexpected happened today. While hunting in Bahamar Wetlands, we follow a particular tactic in gathering about a dozen creatures. Once enough creatures are following us, we time it such that Blazing Pillar would be activated just when they are within range and thus eliminate most of them. If the timing is off, we can get in serious trouble with the spiders' Venom attacks and the bulls' charge attacks. Imagine our surprise when the skill refused to activate and we discovered that we ran out of Elemental Orbs. In the confusion, we forgot that our musketeer also had a wide area attack and thus our trip ended like a horror film. Back in town, we brought the 9999 maximum that Emilia was willing to sell us at any given purchase.

We also helped out a younger family today with Mission Lobbies Highway 1, 2, and Interchange 2. Highway 1 was too easy for us but it was the other family's first mission lobby. Interchange 2 ended badly as we were unprepared to deal with the flying creatures (2 grounded wizard types just isn't going to work in defense). Highway 2 was surprisingly productive for us as we managed to obtain the unique level 52 weapon Beam-gun. This weapon can be broken down into a Porto Bello Vindictive Stone for use in crafting a level 92 elite weapon. We'll take a photo once we have access to better photo taking equipment.

Snow Drops

During the past 2 days (24th and 25th), we only spent about half an hour outside of the barracks. During that time, we noticed a new visitor dressed in a red suit in Port Coimbra challenging us to donate items to him. Figuring that this was the holiday event for this year, we went out to try to collect the 50 Snow Drops requested. Unfortunately, in all that time, we only managed to obtain 2 of them after defeating hundreds of creatures. With all the festivities going on and us enjoying it in the barracks, it looks unlikely that we'll be able to collect the requested Snow Drops anytime soon. If there is a short time limit for this one (which we have been unable to find detailed information about), we might not even be able to fulfill his request at all. Pretty disappointing actually.

Really that rare?

Ever since the snails started appearing yellow (from orange) to our elementalist and musketeer, these shells started appearing. We just tripped over another one late this afternoon while blowing up hordes of spiders that so happened to have a snail as a bystander. Then we hear stories about people finding only one over a 6 month period or getting frustrated about not finding one over a solid 5 hour period and we wonder if we're lucky or if running around the swamp makes a difference. We were only out of the barracks for about 3 hours today and haven't planned to venture out again as the world prepares for a possible holiday event.

Lucky crafting

We managed to purchase some relatively inexpensive High Quality Sapphires today (3.5 million each when it ranged from that to 12 million). This allowed us to craft the scout armor recipe we picked up the other day. To our pleasant surprise, the initial enchantment done by Andre was quite good, almost matching the plate mail crafting awhile back. It also reminded us on how much we gold spent trying and failing to upgrade a Laranja to +6 in the past.

Another Snail Shell

We managed to pick up another Snail Shell late this afternoon. It was a pleasant surprise as we were not hunting snails in particular but swamp spiders (to complete the Memorial Quest). Upon heading back to Port Coimbra, we discovered that these shells were being listed for between 230 to 240 million vis each. It's tempting to cash in on these now but we think we'll hold on to it until we actually need the vis to spend it on something worth buying.

We also had one of those rare long chats with the leader of our clan today. One of the more memorable topics of discussion was about the amount of gold spent by the more highly active families, especially those belonging to the top clan with which our leader has experienced first hand for awhile recently. The sum of gold that passes from their hands into the bazaar is so mind boggling that we hadn't even imagined it except as a distant possibility.

Snail shell

While roasting some critters in Bahamar Wetlands tonight, we managed to pick up our very first Snail Shell. These are apparently popular items for trade but we do not know their prices yet. Another treasure we picked up tonight from the same map was a recipe for a Naranja e Preto (elite level 84 scout armor). For only about 2 and a half hours of adventuring, it's been pretty productive.

More mission lobbies

Tonight, the Conella's family Jack once again helped train our Jack in the ways of construction. After a few Trinity 3s, we tried a few of the other mission types. Pictured above is Spotlight level 2 which turned out to be quite boring. However, it was an easy mission so our Jack was able to practice his construction skills.. To spice things up, we decided to do a Mission Lobby Trinity 4 afterwards.

While waiting for our other family members to show up, the DelCorno family of the Aeon clan joined us and our group of 3 families did 2 rounds of Mission Lobby Trinity 4s together. There was an unexpectedly large amount of treasures and our inventory filled up rather quickly with equipment between the levels 80 through 88. There were 2 level 84 elite items that dropped in addition to various chips (level 92s and even a level 96). Overall, it was pretty productive.

Jack's night out

Tonight, we let our old man Jack out of the barracks for a night out. One of the more interesting sights in town was a Soso trio of the Mireles family.
Afterwards, our Jack met up with a fellow Jack and partied in Mission Lobby Trinity 3. It was quite productive and the other family's Jack helped our Jack level from 48 to 51 in much less time than if we were did it ourselves. We also managed to pick up an elite level 52 Brown Bess rifle.

More pretty lights

It must be a fad to open Bellem's Boxes to create a pretty pattern. It almost inspires us to try it and perhaps we shall in the coming days.

Idge at level 100 & other thoughts

Tonight, we trained our Idge to level 90 at El Canon. This allowed her to use the level 90 Experience Cards we've saved up and through it, she reached level 99 & 99%. We topped off that last 1% in Skeleton Nest. We've noticed that the experience cards we received from the Halloween Event gave 8 - 9% each so it was pretty entertaining to watch her repeatedly light up as she gobbled up each card. With Idge at level 100, we'll be able to craft high level armor recipes by ourselves if we're ever so lucky to come across any in the future. The next people we're thinking of training to level 100 would be M'Boma and normal Adelina but we're no in hurry for those yet.

In Skeleton Nest, we bumped into an old friend and chatted for awhile. It's nice to know which families are still active.

We also discovered an amazing coincidence today but we'll save that for another day. It may inspire us to get out of the barracks more.

Blue Samurai Armor costume

Tonight, we managed to buy the Blue Samurai Armor costume from the market for 35,555,555 vis. This was considered cheap as the next cheapest was 50 million and then about 65 million after that. So we're down to about 9 million vis and raising easy vis just got harder for us as there is a glut of Treasure Cores being listed on the market. We've expanded to selling a few Seal of Pioneer 9s but as we're not sure what use they have other than for quest fulfillment, we're hesitant to list too many at once.

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

Red Samurai Armor

Tonight, we managed to buy Samurai Armor (Red) for 45 million vis on the market. That's more than half our supply of vis but it's not like we have other things to spend it on. The price seemed relatively decent and it was actually the first time we saw the red version on the market. Hair and the blue version of the costume are still quite expensive.

Wiki

Last night, we updated the Wiki alittle and received a compliment. It might just be fun to add the goal of gathering information for it in addition to the usual grind to Expert. Costumes still need to be modeled and some of the maps can be explored further.

Dragon Tooth

Tonight, our level 75 Soso and level 70 Claire had a fierce fight with Dragon Head in Joaquin Prison. One of the treasures it dropped was a level 80 unique sword named Dragon Tooth. It is our first Dragon Tooth and one of the weapons that can be broken into a Vindictive Stone in order to craft an elite level 92 weapon. We think we'll keep it for looks though.

Lack of MPs on market

There's been a lack of Mysterious Powders being listed on the market during the last few days. Perhaps there are no sellers or maybe a buyer is purchasing them all. In any case, there is now a single Mysterious Powder (1 listing of 1 quantity) being listed by wolpertinger for 10 million vis. If her family manages to sell it, it will be a record high in price.

We took a photo of a rare gathering of martial artists hanging out in Port Coimbra. Gracielo missed out on the photo opportunity as he was off in a side street bothering people for food.

Litterer

While doing our nightly rounds around Port Coimbra this evening, we were surprised by a vast glow taking place. It turns out that Okazakii of The_Darkness clan was opening Bellem's Boxes while running around in figure eights. Occasionally, he would stop to pick up an item here or there but a great majority of the other items quickly disappear. It was quite a pretty sight and reminded us of a certain water fountain show that takes place in front of a fancy hotel. After awhile of seeing good items disappear into the air, we picked up a few of the colored dyes before they disappeared.

In other news, we picked up a level 88 Bronze Whistle from Bahamar Wetlands. This item has an innate ability to give +1 DR to Viki's Summons.

Thanksgiving activities

Last week's activities were pretty tame as it was the Thanksgiving holidays. Certain maps in certain channels were missing but we still took the opportunity of train in maps that would normally be a catastrophic failure (technical difficulties). As such, we've:
  • Trained Baek Ho and Lisa Lynway to level 76. Our Baek Ho was using an ordinary level 72 knuckle but the stun enchantment really came in useful.
  • Trained Soso to level 75. Our vacation ended before we could get her to level 76 on that map.
  • Trained Claire to level 70. This was enough for her to start using the level 70 experience cards and as such she's halfway to level 71.
  • Recruited Alejandro. The Octopus tentacle scarf in our warehouse finally gets used. He has a whopping 9 STR but only 4 AGI. His frozen swordfish polearm is definitely a keeper.
  • Had Gertrude train by himself. He's such a manly man and able to take care of things by himself that we left him alone for awhile (but not overnight).
We also took a look at the prices of various items in the market. Their prices are mostly steady with the exception of Quarter Slots which recently had a large drop in prices but have since started rising again. With the exception of Pure Otite (none were listed), we saved their median values into the graph that we included in previous entries.

Small treasures

Not much new the past week as we've only been venturing out of the barracks for only about half an hour each day. However, we did manage to get:
  • A rough blue stone from Scorching Plateau. It dropped from one of the normal creatures as there are no treasure creatures on that map and we did not encounter the map boss. Perhaps one of the Kragen dropped it as they drop the Transparent Unknown Ore used for a quest. We used 200 reputation points to craft it into a Zircon. This was the first stone we've found (other than the default green one given by Claire's quest) and we were initially excited until we checked the market to determine its worth and discovered that it was relatively cheap. In any case, these crafted jewels are sitting on our warehouse as we're lost on what to socket them into.
  • A level 84 Elite Striform recipe from Bahamar Wetlands. We got this one yesterday but due to the chaos of the map, wasn't sure which creature dropped it. It was one of the items that littered the landscape after some well placed Blazing Pillar spells. We already had a jar of Sky Blue Dye in our warehouse so we spent 10 million to purchase 2 High Quality Sapphires in order to have our Andre craft it. Unfortunately, the crafted striform did not have any useful enchantments nor did we have anyone to assign it to so it was stuffed into the warehouse.

Expanding the family

Tonight, we discovered that we had 11 more Quarter Slots to expand our barracks. We used 5 of them and recruited Najib, Panfilo, Gertrude, Jose, and Ramiro. It took us awhile to decipher what Ramiro was muttering but apparently, he speaks Korean. For now, we'll train them up to about level 48 such that they could lighten the load on our warehouse.

First time in El Dorado

This afternoon, with help from Dimonda-Silk, we managed to gather the 10 memos from the Scarlet Underground as requested by Emilia. After a brief visit with Brunie to craft a key, we were on our way to El Dorado. We found it funny that Emilia referred to Brunie as a man in his younger days.

We got a tour of the place and it seems that the corn stalks wants excrement.

More event rewards for the final day

As today is the last day of the event, we tallied up our results from the last few days that were not already listed in the previous entries. Our records are:
  • 24:41 - Chose the Bloody Coffin (2nd)
  • 23:59 - Bloody Coffin (3rd). This completes our goal of having 3 of each type of permanent back costumes.
  • 23:53 - Deadly Cross. We barely made this one and didn't have time to check the watch.
  • 23:08 - Revenant. Got a easier map (Lago Celeste / Ferruccio Wall) so it was easier to beat the record.
  • 19:58 - Deadly Cross. Same map as above.
The 105 experience cards should come in useful as it represents at least 50 million points of experience. Our warehouse is stuffed full from the temporary back costumes and our inventory is near capacity. We should really use them up sometime but for now, we'll head into the barracks for a long rest.

Semana de los Muertos Day 3

Another night of Strolling Witch quests. Our warehouse is rapidly filling up with the temporary back costumes. Tonight's results:
  • 26:38 - Chose the Revenant (our 2nd) and assigned it to Eduardo since he's familiar with the Land of the Dead and has a mysteriously sketchy past. This quest involved the Plain Phobitan Imps of Lago Celeste and the Grim Reapers of Ferruccio Wall.
  • 25:55 - Chose the Revenant (our 3rd) and assigned it to Gracielo since he accidentally killed that trooper during his wild period. This quest involved the Villains of Topolo Durga and the Swamp Spider Crabs of the Bahamar Wetlands.
  • 25:41 - Chose the Deadly Cross (our 3rd) and assigned it to Claire as she looks pretty cute praying with a giant cross. This quest involve the Diseased Capybara of Abertal and the Skeleton Raptors and it was our first time receiving it. Initially, we were planning to visit the third floor of Skeleton Nest to fight the raptors there but after warping into the dungeon, we realized that it would be a very long run from the Ancient Area entrance located near the entrance on the first floor. Therefore, we visited Ustier Zona Cuatro and found a horde of Skeleton Raptors greeting us. We actually managed to finish this entire quest in a record 20 minutes because the horde of Skeleton Raptors were coming at us behind every tree and giant dinosaur. It was actually quite fun to have Grace run through the map, blasting her shotgun with Gigante Blaster every few steps.

Semana de los Muertos Quests Day 2

We completed 3 more quests from the Strolling Witch tonight. We beat our best times for each of them and received the following bonus rewards in addition to the standard set of rewards.
  • 28:01 - We chose the Revenant permanent back costume. This costume consists of 3 ghosts that futilely grab at the victim. The regular Adelina seems to deserve this one as she may be haunted by her past.
  • 27:30 - We chose the Bloody Coffin permanent back costume and gave it to our Calypso. Perhaps it'll come in handy for her assassination targets.
  • 27:07 - We chose another Deadly Cross permanent back costume. We weren't sure on who to present this one to so we had Brunie carry it instead. If we find a more suitable person like this guy, we'll move the cross.

Semana de los Muertos Quests 2 & 3

We decided to try the quest again and managed to finish in about 24 minutes. However, we waited till 28.8 minutes before submitting the quest for completion. We received the standard reward package as listed earlier and because we finished within 30 minutes, we received 3 Halloween Pumpkins Hats and also had the option to choose between 3 permanent costumes or a set of experience cards. We chose a Deadly Cross for our Captain Adelina as their colors matched quite well.

For the third try, we had to defeat 75 Villains and 110 Swamp Spider Crabs. We were initially confused by where the Villains were so it took quite a few minutes to remember that they were found in Topolo Durga. Defeating the Swamp Spider Crabs weren't easy so we were unable to finish within the 30 minutes. The reward was the standard reward as given in the previous entry.

Upon closer inspection of the Level 90 Experience Cards, we discovered that they gave 560,000 experience each. That's far above even level 100 experience cards.

Semana de los Muertos

We heard that Sierra the Witch was visiting the City of Auch today so we decided to pay her a visit. After chatting with her briefly, she suddenly handed us 3 watches and said that the race has started. Confused at first, it took us a few moments to realize that we have just embarked on a quest to defeat some creatures. We had to hunt 115 Plain Phobitan Imps and 40 Grim Reapers. We knew that the Grim Reapers were at the Ferruccio Wall but we had no idea where to find the Plain Phobitan Imps. After looking in Tetra Hills and Vegas Javier, we discovered that they were at Lago Celeste.

Just traveling to Lago Celeste took us to the 20 minute mark so we knew that we would not be able to complete the quest within the half hour time limit. None the less, we did not quit and trudged on to defeat the right amount of creatures.

The reward for our efforts were:
  • Level 90 Experience Cards x 3
  • Witch Candy x 3 (it's supposed to give some sort of buff but doesn't indicate what)
  • Bloody Coffin (2 day) - It gives Attack +10%, Attack Speed +10%, Movement Speed +10%
  • Reverent (2 day) - Gives the same as above.
  • Deadly Cross (2 day) - Gives the same as above.

The prices seems to be relatively stable these past 3 months. Perhaps we'll make less spot checks on the market. As for keeping tabs on the former clan members, one of them appears to have joined TheOne. This was unexpected but not completely surprising. We found it humorous that they put a message into their profile asking people to look at the person/family rather than the clan they belonged to. May he find the fun there that couldn't be found in his previous clan.

As for the others, they still appear to be unaffiliated so we may check back next week.

Still no adventuring for us other than chatting up the market manager. From reading the forums, it appears that we've missed quite some frustration with malfunctioning maps, channels, and other issues.

State of the economy

Mysterious Powder
  • Range: 3.1 - 3.2 million
  • Median: 3.2 million, it has certainly gotten less expensive
Pure Otite
  • Single entry of 8.5 million, it has long broken the 2 Mysterious Powder to 1 PO ratio.

  • Single entry of 800K but there were a whole bunch of entries at 500K yesterday.
Enchant Booster

  • Median: 2.2 million
Level 92 Enchantment Chip
  • Range: 5 - 8 million
  • Median: 5.95 million
Level 100 Enchantment Chip
  • Range: 38 - 52 million, it looks like prices have risen to pre 3.0 levels again.
  • Median: 45 million, it's fortunate that we were able to make our desired veteran pioneer equipment while prices were cheaper.
No Quarter Slots found.

Clan stuff
It appears that half the active members of our clan is no longer in our clan today. That's about 9 members compared with yesterday but the names we could remember (for future reference) are realwarrior, Redwoods, King_Eshi, Webbness, and Dimonda-Silk. This also means that our clan leader has changed again and that we have no deputies either. Perhaps they all left to join a more active clan. The Islands clan comes to mind but the EliteExplorers clan is also a good candidate. In any case, as we still won't be adventuring anytime soon (other than to take a brief walk around Port Coimbra and to chat with the market manager), we'll relax in the barracks and track what happens to them.

Scarlet Underground

Tonight, we decided to explore the Scarlet Underground a little bit. The entrance to this is at Queen's Gate. Inside were various creatures like werewolves and ogres that were at least level 110. It was also very crowded with families at every corner. It's unfortunate that there is no map but we eventually made it to a seal door that we had to talk to Emilia about. Perhaps tomorrow we'll continue with the quest.

Of note this weekend was how relatively inexpensive the level 100 enchantment chips have become. It seemed like such a bargain that we brought 2 and still pondering on whether to buy more.

Grim Reaper Leader

After getting defeated by him over a dozen times, we managed to defeat him for the first time today in Feruccio Wall. It was a tough fight but without Jumeau Plaque interfering, it was only a matter of time before the leader fell. As the Jumeau Plaque spawn like rabbits, it was a race against time to kill the leader before a horde of Jumeau Plaque set upon us. There wasn't any interesting treasures from the leader but we get to see him spew yellow flower petals as he faded away.

On another topic, it seems the price of level 100 enchantment chips dropped suddenly yesterday. We managed to snag 2 of them for 20 million each and made a Veteran Ancestral Ice Bracelet and a Veteran Ancestral Fire Bracelet for the magic users of our family. We thought of possibly making more weapons but figured that we could make the elite level 92 versions of the melee weapons in the future.

Sun Stone

Just got our very first Sun Stone. It's worth some small amount of fesos if we sell it to Maria so we may do that later tonight. We're just so happy to be able to finally kill that rascally little treasure guy. For some reason, we couldn't attack it even after targeting it. Attempts to use Detection were unsuccessful as the little guy runs out of range quickly. It took a well placed Thunderstorm to finally trip him up.

Ancient Area

So we caved in yesterday and used our first Ancient Area pass. Our first team to enter was Eloise the elementalist, Iris the musketeer, and Florence the Scout. There was moderate success and we had to travel around to find a stable spot but eventually Iris ran out of pistol bullets while in Sight Shot. We switched the team to Louise the wizard, Florence, and Grace and found that it was much easier to survive. Grace's Gigante Blaster kept the mob in control and thus we were even able to survive in the middle of a room. At the moment, we changed to team to Eloise, Florence, and Grace. Grace is such a useful character that she's probably out of the barracks the most.

At the rate of which we collect Hard Clay, we estimate that it would take slightly more than a day to collect enough for a Cinderella armor.

Evening's activities

Tonight, we visited El Antiguo Patrimonio and was successful in passing it. Of note was encountering a Veteran Selvia by the wuwu family of the BooBoo clan. They must have already been prepared with ingredients to do her quest and had lots of Experience Cards to level her so quickly.

More tests

So last evening, we had our Adelina fight by herself in the third floor of Skeleton Nest. Whereas before she required 2 attack cycles to defeat the skeletons there, now she only needed one. This made her solo training there easier as the skeletons are no longer able to gang up on her.

We also tested out our Baek Ho and Lisa in Rion Hollows. Their ability to survive there unaided seems to have improved, perhaps due to them being able to defeat the wildlife there quicker. Perhaps we'll let them train there overnight someday.

Finally, we did a rough test of the experience gain from the lower level creatures by having Brunie and Tiburon train overnight (slightly less than 7.5 hours) with Grace at Gigante Beach. Fortunately, we were not interrupted but a family down the beach from us was not so lucky. The experience boost was noticeable as our Brunie went from level 59 to 64 while our Tiburon went from level 45 to 54. In the past, they would have only gained about 2/3rd as much. Another reason we chose Brunie and Tiburon was to prepare them for a test of their agility in combat as Brunie has 9 AGI and Tiburon has 8 AGI.

3.0

So version 3.0 is finally here. After 10 minutes of downloading the new patch, we were able to enter the world. The interface is prettier and the menus are more responsive. At least in the barracks, graphics performance was improved. Heading out into the world, we were pleasantly surprised to find the Experience Cards that we have collected now give 50% more experience. So the dozens of level 90 Experience Cards that used to give 100,000 experience points now gives 150,000 experience points. Checking out warehouse, we noticed that our temporary Diabolic Horns have been moved from the regular inventory into the premium equipment inventory. We guess that means they will count down if we equipped them.

We also noticed that they've changed the way experience is reported for Veteran characters. They have levels now but fortunately, the percentage is still given with 4 digits after the decimal point. (XX.XXXX). We'll have to try out our various family members to see how they perform with the agility update. Can't wait to try out Adelina The Pirate.

Quiet evening

The only treasure of moderate interest tonight as a recipe for an elite level 84 dragon bayonet. This recipe was found in Feruccio Wall and we doubt we will ever have a use of it due to it requiring a Mysterious Steel Piece to craft. We were pleasantly surprised that those maps were not empty tonight. We met someone from The_Darkness clan in Scorching Plateau looking for the map boss and there were two other families in Feruccio Wall.

Tonight's discussion within the clan involved the prices of certain items like the White Reaper ring. Apparently, someone listed it on the market for 80 million and we wondered if it actually sold at that price as there is now another listing for 85 million. We were interested to see if the ring will sell for anywhere near that price. A blank elite 92 Iron Pistol was also listed for 300 million but after calculating the cost of the ingredients, it sadly didn't seem so outrageous anymore. Perhaps we'll farm for Pure Otite sometime.

Various topics

Today, a third family in our cozy clan became eligible to be promoted to Master level (once the Master Promotion scrolls become available). It almost but not quite inspires us to get on the path to Expert. Perhaps we'll concentrate on a few characters to see how far they could reach and if they look promising, we may send them into an ancient area at the end of the month.

There's quite some fluctuation in market lately with it being almost bare in some day and flooded in others.
  • Mysterious Powers - 4.2 - 4.5 million, median of 4.5
  • Pure Otite - 7.3 - 8.1 million, median of 8
  • Treasure Cores - None listed at the moment. When we listed a bunch of ours at 500K, they were snapped up within minutes. As a result, we've reached a personal record in the amount of vis we are currently holding.
  • Upgrade Accelerator - 7.2 - 9.5 million, median of 9.5
  • Enchant Booster - 7.5 - 8.65 million, median of 8.5
  • No Promotional Scrolls of any kind listed
  • Level 84 Enchantment Chip - 1.2 - 1.6 million, median of about 1.5
  • Level 92 Enchantment Chip - 6.3 - 10 million, median of 9
  • Level 100 Enchantment Chip - 36 - 41 million, median of about 38

Back from vacation

After a week of vacation, we left the barracks to find things only little different. Our clan has gotten larger but the number of active members are pretty constant. It seemed that they had interesting activities while we were away. The market seemed emptier with several times that we constantly check to be missing (such as Pure Otite and Treasure Cores). Even the Mysterious Powders were missing earlier in the day. We took advantage of the lack of Treasure Cores to offload a bunch of ours and we pleasantly surprised to see them sell so quickly.

Half of today's activities consisted of exploring Feruccio Wall. It was survivable so long as the Jumeau Plaque do not gang together as their lightning attacks are deadly and has a long range. Another hindrance to our survival was the Grim Reaper Leader. We have yet to survive an encounter with him and had to be evacuated back to barracks quite a few times today because of it. Unfortunately, we did not find any treasures of interest today.

The other half of today's activities was spent chatting away at Gigante Beach. Nothing special there and our Brunie is very close to reaching level 60.

Near the end of the evening, we took a dip at the steaming waters of the Scorching Plateau but the boys of the DelCorno family wandered by and started gawking at us as if they've never seen people in swimsuits playing with water. It made us a bit self conscious so we backed away slowly.

People pics

It's a quiet evening in Port Coimbra so we were watching the people wandering by. One family that caught our eye was the clan leader of the Reminiscence clan who had 3 Diabolic Horns equipped when the all the other families in town had at most of one. Combined with their bright orange fiery weapons and glowing blue hoops at the waist, it made for a bright display. Perhaps we'll try equipping our Diabolic Horn too but for now, we'll head back into the barracks and go on a vacation for a few days. The symbolic end of the summer is coming after all.

Evening's activities

Tonight, we attempted to have our Fighter, Maria, hunt by herself in Bahamar Wetlands. She was using Mighty Cruz and it didn't work too well as it was a slow stance. This allowed the Swamp Graverobbers to bunch up and use their poison attacks. Physically, she is able to survive but the hunting was too slow to make it worthwhile.

Next she moved on to Skeleton Nest level 3. The first thing she saw there upon arrival was a Boneless. It took quite awhile to defeat that Boneless along with at least 2 dozen healing potions due to its magic attacks. After it was defeated, Maria spent a small amount of time smashing hordes of skeletons. However, it was quite boring so we moved on.

We visited El Antiguo Patrimonio tonight but our Royalist forces were not strong enough to take on the creatures in the first arena. It was defeating all who dared opposed it, including the Experts and various clan leaders. Needless to say, no one got past the Diablo in the next map although there was some evidence that someone tried.

To top the night off, we had Eloise, Iris, and Florence visit Feruccio Wall. Seeing as how they survived Scorching Plateau so well, we figured that it may be the same with Feruccio Wall. Indeed, it was slightly more difficult but quite survivable so long as no more than 6 targets attacked at the same time. We wondered if there were any interesting treasure that could drop there.

Another evening in the jungle

We spent another evening in the Bahamar Wetlands tonight. We did sneak a peek at the Bahamar Underground but felt that the creatures down there were too high in level. Nothing of interest was found tonight but Florence, our Scout, became the first family member to reach 20% Veteran. At this rate, it'll take a very long time for anyone to reach Expert. Perhaps we'll have to visit an ancient area sometime.

Within the Bahamar Wetlands, we were surprised by 2 separate families that snuck up on us. Although they were not dangerous, we were startled to discovered that we did not notice them approaching until they were standing next to us. Of course, sometime we lose track of Florence because of her green outfit. There's just so much plant life that provides good cover.

A delayed chuckle

Just remembered a funny event that happened a few days ago.
After agreeing to help a young family train their family member, we met up at the Mansion. Upon starting the hunt for the wolves, that family summoned a valkyrie crasher. Surprised, we asked them if they had brought it from a shop keeper in town. They confirmed it and also mentioned that it was expensive. Needless to say, that valkyrie crasher was a poor summon for the area and couldn't even keep up with our movements and was unsuccessful in even attacking one target. As consolation, we took them to the beach for a few hours.

Trekking in Bahamar Wetlands

Inspired by a fellow clan member yesterday, we spent the evening trekking through the Bahamar Wetlands. Tonight's team was Eloise the Elementalist, Florence the Scout, and Iris the Musketeer. We didn't bring one of our tougher characters as we wanted to test their survivability as in the past, it didn't go so well. This time, with better armor and weapons, Eloise came the tanker of the team while Iris was the damage dealer with Outrage.

There's always some excitement in waiting for her domination lightning stance skills to activate and knock out the surrounding creatures as some of them may be getting wise to it and interrupting it at the last moment with a well placed charge. As there were server issues today, we couldn't test our luck in the underground portion of the map. The only decent treasure of the night was a level 92 Silver Crossbow which we will convert to a chip someday.

Elementalist team?

Last evening, we experimented with a team of Vincent (in Possession Lightning stance), Elementalist (in Domination Lightning stance), and Scout in Scorching Plateau. The theory was that since the creatures there are weak to lightning based attacks (-50 resistance), using lightning would defeat them quickly. While the team was able to survive, the results were not as hoped. Due to the unpredictable nature of lightning (0 accuracy), some creatures could be defeated in 1 hit while others required many more. Combined with the naturally slow attack speed of spell attacks, it took time to defeat the creatures and they gathered up. We also tried having both spell casters in Possession Lightning stance but it did not make a major difference. Perhaps we'll try again if we can get both into Evocation or Domination stances.

Swordbreaker

We also picked up a level 100 Main Gauche named Swordbreaker tonight at Scorching Plateau. It has an inherent +10 Block and a nice fiery glow. Only our Andre is of a high enough level to wield it . This is also our very first level 100 weapon other than the Ancestral Veteran weapons so we were taken aback when Andre's left side started glowing as if on fire.

Scorching Plateau

Getting tired of Skeleton Nest again, we asked our clan leader for a good training location. They suggested the Scorching Plateau so there we went. The Scorching Plateau is a dark dreary place, pretty similar the El Canon and this afternoon was our first extended stay in it. There were other families wandering around the map so it wasn't one of those abandoned areas. It was pretty difficult to find a scenic spot so we posed in the most scenic landmark we could find, which was a tall waterfall. Oh, and that outfit Eloise the Elementalist is wearing isn't a costume but a level 92 Elite La Ventisca.

During our few hours in Scorching Plateau today, we picked up a few items, including a Shaft Hammer recipe, and a recipe for a level 92 Elite La Ventisca. Crafting the Elite La Ventisca took nearly all our vis. The Elite La Ventisca recipe requires 1 Siren's Scale, 100 High Quality Cloth, 50 Mega Etretanium, 50 Mega Ionium, and 10 Triumph Fillers. The Siren's Scale recipe cost 30 million vis and it requires 3 High Quality Emeralds, 50 Solvents, 15 Triumph Fillers, and 1 Elemental Jewel to craft the accessory. Our clan leader helped us acquire 42 Mega Etretanium (we're too poor to afford it at the moment) and thus we were able to put our Andre and Karjalain to work in crafting the recipe. A noticeable difference from the level 100 +5 robe Eloise was wearing before is the higher Fire and Mental resistance.

Corsair Rosso

While we were at the market, we also purchased the headgear for the musketeer's Corsair Rosso outfit from Andre. It's not shiny but it matches the outfit well.

Capezzolo de Pericolo

Today, we brought the matching headgear from Andre for our scout's Capezzolo de Pericolo outfit. It's quite colorful and shiny.
The headgear also includes long hair.

Catherine party in Reboldeaux

Tonight, we have a gathering of robots. Catherine robots from various families all across the land heeded Everett's call and gathered around her in the city of Reboldeaux. In the above photo, they're the ones with the large white wings. We were one of the first families to arrive.
We even had a special guest appearance by G1-Fynlo who appeared as a girl in a pink dress with angel wings. It was an unexpected appearance as G1-Fynlo suddenly appeared out of thin air as some Catherine robots were running by.
Once we realized G1-Fynlo was there, we gathered around for photos.
The Catherine robots started to self organized into a line.
It almost looks like that Catherine on the far right was stabbed in the chest and an ugly thing is being perverted.
Eventually, G1-Fynlo had to disappear. By this time, more Catherine robots arrived.
Audience members like our Claire also started to gather around a nearby bench for a good view of the spectacle.
Critical mass was reached and even more Catherine robots arrived.
Unable to stay still, the Catherine robots started to play around.
We even had Catherine robots that carried a coffin and a tombstone arrive too.
At this point, the flow of new Catherine robots started to die down and we organized into a line.
For a better photo, it was better to cram together.

We think we probably had 30 Catherine robots gathered in front of the fountain today.
Once the party was over, the Catherine robots scattered. Some straggler stayed behind and released from snow and hearts. There was even a duel between Catherine summoners.
